Teletoon targets adults with classics on Retro
Teletoon is going after adults 25-49 with classic toons on its new ad-supported digital specialty channel, Teletoon Retro, which will officially launch on October 1 at 6 pm. Teletoon launched a 7:30 pm ET/PT retro hour this week to promote the new channel's full launch.
Teletoon Retro's nostalgic throwback to classic titles will include The Bugs Bunny & Tweety Show, The Flintstones, Scooby-Doo, The Jetsons, Fat Albert & the Cosby Kids, The Tom & Jerry Show, Rocket Robin Hood, The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle, The Porky Pig Show, The Raccoons, Superfriends and The Road Runner Show.
The channel will aim to provide advertisers with a chance to target the A25-49 demo and the opportunity to reach families via co-viewing. The net says its sales teams will build customized packages for clients, from creatively re-purposing retro commercials to brandsell and interactive promotions.
The new channel is set to become part of Bell ExpressVu's digital standard package, while additional carriers are expected to be finalized by the launch date.
