Teletoon gets fruity for General Mills

Teletoon has launched a cross-platform campaign called Go! - tying General Mills' Fruity Cheerios to interactive lessons about healthy food choices and exercise.

The Go! microsite offers up interactive surveys and quizzes. A new multiple-choice question is posted online every Monday, while results will be shown on-air in branded spots throughout the following week. Site visitors will also see suggestions for healthy living activities, from wakeboarding to karate and walking a dog.

Three characters will lead participants through the microsite and the on-air survey results. First comes the Fruity Cheerios Guy (pictured). Joining him later will be two characters formed from summer and winter sports equipment.

CanWest MediaWorks has launched an interactive game for TV trivia fanatics to support the second season of Inside the Box on TVtropolis, which premiered in the 6 pm time slot this week.

The online game, hosted on TVtropolis.com (part of the Canada.com network), mimics the show's 20 questions format. On-air, contestants compete for $10,000. The online game tracks users so that no one person will play the same game twice.

The last four of Inside the Box's 65 eps will feature TV critics playing for charity. The second season will also end with a trivia champions tournament.

The online game was created by CanWest in partnership with Toronto-based Lone Eagle Productions.
