Wal-Mart signs deal for narrowcasting screens
Wal-Mart Canada has signed a deal for 60 retail narrowcasting digital displays with EK3 Technologies and ShopCast. The two companies will install narrowcasting systems in 60 Canadian stores by the end of 2007.
EK3 and ShopCast will deliver a combination of ads, digital merchandising and Wal-Mart Television. The agreement followed London, Ontario-based EK3's purchase of ShopCast, a Toronto company that sells digital network advertising.
EK3 displays are also used in Tim Hortons coffee shops and Home Depot Fuel stores. The company also recently signed a deal with gas pump manufacturer Dresser Wayne.
