Fido awards web biz to Revolver 3

Fido announced yesterday that it has awarded its national account for interactive services to Revolver 3. The five-year-old, indie Montreal agency specializes in interactive marketing, advergaming, social network marketing and other new media strategies.

Revolver 3 has already worked for Fido, most recently developing www.fido3gexperience.ca, www.fidoduo.ca (in partnership with Bos) and www.bid2win.ca.

"Our main ammunitions are boldness and creativity," says Sabrina Côté, who's in charge of Revolver 3's strategic development and communications. "These allow us to always be one step ahead and to dare, redefine, reinvent."

Among the agency's other current clients are Loto-Québec, Tennis Canada, Cascades and La Cordée. Toronto's Bos agency remains as Fido's media buyer.

TVB announces new board

Yesterday, the Television Bureau of Canada announced its 2008 board of directors. CTV's Rita Fabian, SVP of sales & marketing, remains as chair. Vice-chair is Errol Da-ré, EVP sales, Alliance Atlantis Communications. Treasurer is Chris McGinley, VP western operations, CanWest MediaWorks. Secretary is Mitch Dent, EVP sales, Rogers Media Television. Theresa Treutler continues as TVB's president.

The other board members are: Michel Gagnon, VP sales & marketing, RDS; Bill Hanson, VP programming & marketing, CTV Winnipeg; Mike Keller, GM, Midwest Broadcasting; Brett Manlove, VP/GM, Global BC; Brad Phillips, regional VP (BC), Rogers Media Television; Dave Scapillati, GM media sales and marketing, CBC Television; and Don Shafer, VP/regional manager, BC Interior Group, Astral Media.
