The Score ties brand in with Global
Toronto-based Score Media is providing sports updates to Global News Ontario - including coverage for Global's 6 am morning news, noon news, 6 pm News Hour and 11 pm news final. The deal took effect yesterday and covers scores, odds, highlights and breaking news, with a focus on Toronto-based teams.
Global's broadcasts will include The Score's signature sports ticker, which displays minute-by-minute scores and odds for every major sport. The Score's EVP and co-COO David Errington says the arrangement will help The Score reach out to a new audience as the two broadcast teams work together.
The Score's weekday sports coverage will be hosted by Score Tonight's Tim Micallef and Sid Seixeiro. Weekend updates will come from Adnan Virk of The Score's Court Surfing.
The Score Television Network, a national specialty, is available in over 6.2 million homes. Score Media also operates the satellite radio net Hardcore Sports Radio.
Sympatico/MSN appoints Ohn to strategic alliances team
Sympatico/MSN has added Win Ohn to its strategic alliances team, where he will join a team of senior interactive business development professionals in the interactive media space. His background is in business development and product marketing, particularly as it pertains to marrying interactive investment with existing in-store and off-line promotions investments for consumer packaged goods marketers.
Previously, Ohn held positions in product marketing organizations including Quadrant Marketing, and engaged in his own entrepreneurial ventures in advertising in the US. He will report to Joe Strolz, Sympatico/MSN's head of strategic sales.
