Astral set to sell Teletoon French from new Toronto digs
Astral Media TVPlus' Toronto team is taking over selling ad time on Teletoon French on March 1 - a task previously held by Corus Entertainment in the Toronto market. Astral Media now has 100% of the responsibility for Teletoon French sales, but the company is still co-owned with Corus.
The announcement was made during an Astral Media TVPlus soiree in Toronto last night, the company's first big thanks-for-your-business event since officially opening the Toronto French TV specialty sales office in early January. Diane Morel, GM of marketing for Astral Media in Montreal, tells MiC the Astral Media TVPlus Toronto office now has one manager, three reps and four sales staff to support eight of its nine Quebec-based networks.
The Astral Media TVPlus Toronto division is located at the same building as Astral Media Mix, Astral Media Radio, and Astral Media Outdoor. Aside from Teletoon French and the two music nets, Astral Media TVPlus also sells for Canal Vie, Canal D, Vrak.tv, Ztélé, Historia and Séries+.
The team in charge of proposals for French TV specialty in the Toronto market includes national sales director Paul Sedik, national account managers Lyne Nault and Allan Hobbs, media creativity manager Randy Mauskopf, and sales supervisor Heather Athanasiou.
