Zink launches Canadian edition
The luxury-lifestyle magazine Zink, published in NYC for the past six years, has launched a Canadian edition. It will be issued quarterly from Montreal, and its publisher is projecting total circulation of 200,000 within the first year.
With features spanning haute couture, beauty and lifestyle, the first issue of Zink Canada is a whopping 304 pages. Its theme is "Blame Canada," which may sound pejorative, but actually refers to content spotlighting Canadian talent in fashion, photography, beauty and entertainment.
Zink Canada "targets a unique set of influencers, capturing the imagination of Industry insiders and the consumers who follow their lead," says editor-in-chief/publisher Sheriff J. Ishak - the husband of Canadian-born model Isabelle Sabourin, co-founder of the magazine's American edition.
Canadian luminaries featured in the magazine's premiere Canuck issue include: photographers Geoffrey Barrenger, Paco Garcia and Duncan Mackenzie, designers Renata Morales, Paul Hardy and Marie Saint Pierre, and Adrian Mainella, host of CBC's Fashion File.
