Virgin Mobile is backing Toronto-based St. Joseph Media's Fashion Magazine in a cross-country search for 10 bloggers. The exclusive sponsorship deal will mean SMS promo campaigns and product integration.
The mag's editors will narrow the search down to 20 semi-finalists. Then, from July 8-August 8, the contest will enter a public voting phase that allows fashionmagazine.com users to pick their faves based on photo galleries, videos and blog entries. The top 10 finalists will blog for one year at fashionmagazine.com. The candidate who generates the most public votes will win a trip to New York City, provided courtesy of NYC & Co (NYCvisit.com).

Canwest Broadcasting is launching three new digital transmitters on April 18 that will allow the broadcaster to air HD programming on Global Ontario, Global BC and E! Ontario.
Over 25 primetime shows - such as House, The Office, Brothers & Sisters and How I Met Your Mother - will now broadcast in HD in those markets, along with events like PGDA Golf and Wimbledon.
The announcement follows a milestone for ET Canada, which became the first domestic daily entertainment show to broadcast in HD.
"The digital transmitters are launching just as new episodes of our viewer favourites return to the networks," says EVP content Barbara Williams. "We are offering our viewers the best programming via the best quality broadcast signals."
