MiC K.I.S.S. pick: Love at sea for Bachelorette and beau
Last week, in a double brand extension, Princess Cruises rang in National Romance Week in the US by tapping celeb sweethearts Trista and Ryan Sutter to christen its newest vessel, Ruby Princess, a.k.a. the Love Boat.
The couple first met on ABC's reality series The Bachelorette in 2002 and married the following year in an extravagant televised ceremony watched by 26 million viewers. They're the only contestants from the Bachelor and Bachelorette franchises to have tied the knot so far.
"Princess Cruises has long stood for romance and reconnection, and we're delighted to have Trista and Ryan christen Ruby Princess as they celebrate their fifth wedding anniversary," said the cruise line's senior VP, Jan Swartz, in a news release.
The Sutters say they're looking forward to cracking a champagne bottle over the 3,070-passenger ship's bow in November. "This is a wonderful way to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and to remind people about the importance of not only marking the key milestones in a relationship, but also making time to incorporate romance into our everyday lives," cooed Trista Sutter.
