Astral iMedia takes on sales for vervegirl.com
Montreal-based Astral iMedia is teaming up with Toronto-based Vervegirl to represent its online advertising sales in Canada.
Owned by Toronto's Youth Culture, www.vervegirl.com is an online extension of Vervegirl magazine, which is published seven times per year to "reach out to one out of every six teen girls." It's distributed in over 1,400 schools in 600 markets, as well as at 47 universities and colleges across Canada.
Vervegirl.com targets young women ages 14-24. Site visitors can create online profiles and instant messages and share rich media, music, photos and text - with the option to collect points and redeem prizes.
The partnership with Vervegirl is "a strategic move to strengthen our youth-targeted offerings while continuing to provide our clients with custom integrated solutions extending far beyond the ad unit," explains Julie Howlett, director of sales at Astral iMedia.
Astral iMedia is Astral Media's in-house Internet sales division.
