Job description:
The Canadian Traffic Network is currently looking to fill the position of Account Executive in Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver
Reporting to the Director of Sales, the selected candidate shall be responsible for:
-Creating new business by initiating contacts with potential clients, making cold calls, planning meetings, and making strategic presentations to the advertising industry’s decision-makers (agencies and direct clients).
-Preparing and presenting proposals that will be of interest to potential clients, ensuring adequate follow-up and negotiating agreements in order to close sales.
-Assisting the Director of Sales in carrying out the advertising campaigns in progress and contributing to maintain close communication with current clients.
-Ensuring that The Canadian Traffic Network's sales practices and policies are respected.
-Producing reports for management from time to time (action plans, miscellaneous follow-ups on sales).
-Carrying out all follow-ups required with regard to aired campaigns.
-Developing and maintaining highly professional interpersonal relationship with all clients (current and potential).
Requirements / Skills
Education and experience:
-University degree in Advertising / Marketing or the equivalent.
-Three to four years of experience in media sales or in an advertising agency.
Specific requirements:
-Thorough knowledge of the following software is a definite asset: Micro BBM, Airware, PowerPoint, MS Outlook, Excel and Word.
-Must own vehicle and possess a valid driver’s license.
Skills:
-Capacity to adapt to change quickly and to work in a field which promotes team work.
-Outstanding organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively.
-Candidate must be highly motivated, and have good interpersonal and listening skills.
-Must be perfectly bilingual (spoken and written).
-Thoroughness, attention to detail and strict level of confidentiality.
